This year’s Fight Night on 12 January, 2013 was hosted by the Welsh Bushi Kai at The Abervan Hotel, Port Talbot.

WKU Students selected were:-
Shaun Langson
Steve Heath
Lee Heath
Ali Nyoni
Jamie Bowen
Sarah Clarke
Laura Gibbon

The 1st round was for the Ritchie Noblett Memorial Shield.  The Welsh Bushi Kai team took early control and with a convincing win regained the Shield.

The next two rounds were the two teams competing for a £700.00 prize.
After a team talk from coaches Rory Daniels and Darren Haynes our team performed a lot better and won the first of the 2 rounds.  Now both teams were warmed up and wanting to win the final round.  This round gave us the best fights of the night and WKU took this round and the prize money.

A special mention has to go to Sarah Clark who won all her bouts.  She had to fight twice in each round as unfortunately Laura Gibbons was taken ill and could not attend.
