Huge Congratulations go to Toby Crome, 1st Dan Black Belt.
Toby graded on 29th June 2025 under Area Chief Examiner, Les Birkin, 8th Dan.
From the WKU Great Bentley Karate club, Toby, who currently trains in Elmstead Market, also trains at Brightlingsea and Colchester WKU clubs respectively. 
Well done, thoroughly deserved.

Michael Barrenger and Taite Wilkie did the grading alongside Toby – a generous act of support. Senior grades, Sue Fairs 6th Dan, Richard Weller 5th, Dan and Dean Moyes 5th Dan, were also attending, and John Webb from Great Tey came to watch.

WKU Western Karate Union is a non profit making association promoting the study and practice of Karate, organising tournaments, competitions, courses and events. Members work at local, national and international levels. WKU regulates safe and structured training and examination and certification of karateka.
