The 2014 English National Kyu Grade Championships were held in Sheffield on Sunday 26th January. Those selected to represent W.K.U. were:-

Squad Coaches: – Darren Haynes, Rory Daniels, Mark Haynes, Paul James and
Chris Summers

We had a busy day at this competition with over 900 students competing. For some squad members this was their first major competition. All our squad were fit and ready for action. They all fought well and gave some excellent performances.

The final results were: –

BRONZE in the 14-15 Year Team – Niralee, Lauren and Bethan
GOLD in the 14-15 Year Individuals – Mitchell Wyatt-Sugg
SILVER in the 12-13 Year Male Individuals – Billy Haynes
GOLD in the Ladies +60k – Rachel Taylor
BRONZE in the 12-13 Year Female Individuals – Chloe Summers
SILVER in the 16-17 Year Male Individual – Charlie Smith
GOLD in the +80k Male Individuals – Nicholas Stathers
SILVER in the -80k Male Individuals – Nicholas Stathers
GOLD in the -60k Male Individuals – Rory Kavanagh
SILVER in the +60k Male Individuals – Rory Kavanagh
