Portishead Traditional Karate took part in the Wado Ryu Championships in Yate on the 20th November and the following students competed: Mitchell Harvey, Evie Smith, Aisha Macdougall, Charlie Smith, Rachel Taylor
Out of the 4 categories that were entered the club achieved some excellent results :
Aisha Macdougall – Girls’ Kumite – Winner!
Evie Smith – Girls’ Kumite – 3rd place
Charlie Smith – Boys’ Kumite – Winner!
Rachel Taylor – Ladies’ Kumite – Winner!
The day proved to be a real success and the the peformances from each of the students were spirited and very encouraging for future competitions.
